A year ago, the first batch of Scorpion Honey was born in the garden. For our first birthday, we’re taking the garden and putting it in a West Fork Whiskey Rye barrel.
This limited batch of Scorpion Honey is made from the original Trinidad Scorpion Pepper as well as a habanero, pequin, and Thai chili plant that I first grew in 2020, carefully preserved over the winter.
These “old vines” produce a very hot pepper, carefully and intentionally deprived of water to concentrate the heat, and grown in my organic garden right here at my house where it all began.
This batch was smoked more than 5x in the barrel, aged for over 40 days.
Each bottle features our MHF bee icon acid etched into the surface, with a hand dip into white sealing wax on top. Simply twist or cut the wax seal to open.
